Change is inevitable.
Values are certain.

IDEAB helps people and organizations move through their biggest transitions — by naming what they value and putting it into action.

The idea

Very few of us actually know what we value.

We carry a hunch, a vague sense — but we rarely name our core values, almost never put them into words, and hardly ever make our decisions by them. Then something shifts — a promotion, a first job, a new strategy, a loss — and the missing compass becomes impossible to ignore.

That's the work. IDEAB helps you name what genuinely matters and turn it into decisions, behaviors, and momentum — for a person, or a whole organization.

What we mean by values

The core principles that define who you are and guide your decisions — a named, plural set you can actually live by. Not one word on a poster.

Values in motion. Values that become value.

Two paths from here

"Eduardo's work with Yale Hospitality has been nothing short of transformative — a rare combination of intellectual rigor and emotional intelligence. The cultural platform that emerged now serves as a guiding compass for our daily work and long-term strategy."
— Michael van Emmenes, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Yale Hospitality

Every transition is a decision waiting to be made well.

Your values are how you make it.

Coaching

IDEAB Coaching believes in the power of personal values — the beliefs that make you you — to help you navigate life's pivotal moments. Values-based decision-making that sets your work life, school life, love life, real life, stuck life, and "what I really want to do" life… in motion.

Transitions, met with clarity.

1. What is coaching?

Accountability to the values you name.

A coach keeps you accountable to the values and actions we name together — so you become the most aligned, and most alive, version of yourself.

Coaching starts where you are today and moves forward. Exploring the past is the work of therapy; coaching is the work of momentum — building toward the future you want. The focus is on identifying the values that lead to self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and progress.

A coach isn't a smarter search result. It's a human who tracks your becoming over time, catches what you skip past, and won't let you off the hook you set for yourself.

2. Who we coach

Everyone, really — but we do our best work with those at thresholds, where practicing your values matters most.

LOSS, GRIEF & ENDINGS

Some transitions are endings.

Facing a loss, a diagnosis, or the close of a chapter, coaching can be a quiet, steady place to sort out what still matters — and how to move through it. I also accompany people in end-of-life work: helping the dying, and those they'll leave, get complete — so everyone can let go knowing all is whole.

3. What it's like

Fulfilling, fun, intense, sometimes teary, always hopeful, never judgmental. Never.

And we always, always, always move you forward. By naming, embodying, and implementing your values — creating real clarity, consistency, and conviction about your life. We turn small moments into big experiences.

Why a person, not a platform

Answers have never been easier to find. Being seen has never been rarer. Use AI to think — to journal, to prepare, to untangle things at three in the morning. But the moment that changes you isn't the moment you get a good answer; it's the moment you say the hard thing out loud and another person doesn't look away. Values get named in conversation, tested in relationship, and kept because someone you trust is walking beside you. That's the part I do — the part a platform can't.

In their words

"Eduardo came into my life at a huge period of transition — my career, my relationships, my own goals, all at once. Through a holistic approach, connecting each of those priorities to what he noticed mattered most to me, he gave me the confidence to name what I really wanted and start making solid progress on every front. Eduardo was the catalyst I needed to push toward the life I actually wanted."
— Cole McIntyre
"Eduardo has a laser-like ability to see the heart of the issue. With one question or sentence, he leads you to finding your answer quickly. His manner is swift, calm, and precise. The direction becomes evident effortlessly."
— Alatia Bradley

IDEAB Consulting turns culture into your most valuable asset. We map the culture you have, shape the culture you need, and build the behaviors and rituals that make it real — not by decree, but through the people who actually carry a culture, whatever their title.

If any sound familiar, you're already in a transition. The question is whether you'll shape it — or be shaped by it.

A. Process

?!1. CULTURAL ASSESSMENT

Understand the culture you have.

Surveys, interviews, focus groups, observation — at every level. We build a cultural map: the baseline we measure change against.

2. PURPOSE & VALUES

Define the culture you need.

Workshops with your key stakeholders to refine your purpose and core values — then articulate a clear vision for the culture ahead.

@3. OPERATIONALIZE

Make it daily and real.

Plans with the C-suite, HR, and culture-carriers to weave the culture into policies, rituals, and structures — with metrics that track progress.

>>4. COACH THE CARRIERS

Change it through people.

Coaching so leaders and the influencers who truly shape culture internalize the new purpose and model the values — and make it stick.

B. Approach

DATA-DRIVEN

Evidence, not templates.

Qualitative evidence informs every stage, so interventions fit your organization rather than a template.

&
COLLABORATIVE

The real culture-carriers.

We involve people at every level and identify the true culture-carriers — regardless of title — working through them.

>
CONTINUOUS

A practice, not a launch.

Feedback loops and mechanisms for ongoing, iterative refinement over time.

C. Benefits — values into value

Culture isn't soft. It shows up on the bottom line.

— Michael van Emmenes, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Yale Hospitality
"The insight, care, and nuance Eduardo brings to the coaching process is exceptional. His genius for analyzing areas for growth is only half the gift — the other half is how he delivers that message, with compassion and careful, delicate language, to even the most resistant members of a team. That's what makes him truly remarkable."

About

Eduardo A Braniff

Executive, founder, producer, advisor — I've spent a career transitioning between worlds, and that's exactly why I do this work.

I don't guide people and organizations through transitions from theory. I guide them because I've lived a great many, and each transition taught me the same lesson: the ones who come through well are the ones who know what they value and act on it. Everyone else is improvising.

Eduardo A Braniff

The winding line

My path has been anything but straight. I began in entertainment — television and publishing at MTV. I joined the experiential design firm Imagination and grew through nearly every seat: writer, strategist, creative director, and ultimately CEO. I spent a brief, clarifying stretch inside a biotech empire, where I learned in my bones what it feels like when your values and your employer's don't align. I served on the board, and then as Executive Director, of Silkroad, the music and education organization founded by Yo-Yo Ma — where I lived daily the distance between cultures, executive and creative, philanthropic and artistic. After consulting to Pardon, a family office, on its internal culture, I remain its arts and culture advisor.

I've also built things from nothing. I produced the independent feature Kissing Jessica Stein. I launched an LA-based clothing line, Franklin + Gower. I founded Men's Vows, a digital publishing venture dedicated to gay marriage. Each one taught me what no job description can: what it costs to back your own idea, how it feels when the money and the mission pull in different directions, and why the founders and creatives I coach are never really asking for a strategy — they're asking whether the thing they value is worth the risk.

Beneath all of it, one thread: culture and values. Naming what matters, and putting it into motion — for a brand, an organization, or a person. As a certified coach (CPCC, CTI), I've found that consulting and coaching are the same craft, pointed at different subjects.

Why transitions

Look at the path again: media to design, design to biotech, biotech to philanthropy — and, long before any of it, Mexico, where I grew up, to the United States, where I've built my life. I have spent a career, and a life, learning what it takes to move from one world to the next. That's why transitions are my work.
